In 1924, the city took over the formerly private amusement park, Wheeling Park. Soon after, the city inherited the property that became Oglebay Park.

There is 2007...Once spring arrives, you can journey through the zoo on the historic C.P. Huntington Train Ride which passes through the grasslands exhibit and participate in the extensive educational programs.
