Wheaton Regional Park
2000 Shorefield Road, Wheaton, Maryland
Fun, fun, fun is the best description of Wheaton Regional Park. Just about anything a kid could want and more is available here. Explore the many play structures connected by bridges, slide down giant tunnels, climb through an enormous sand castle or swing in a tire. There's even a section accessible by children with disabilities (it's also great for beginner walkers or parents with strollers). If that's not enough, there's picnic areas, train, carousel, nature center, gardens, lake, ice rink, indoor/outdoor tennis courts, lighted ball fields, trails, and Wheaton Stables.
"A great park with a huge playground-all levels of play. Shaded picnic areas. Carousel and train!!! Walking access to a small lake and the beautiful Brookside Gardens. Also has a nature center that offers a lot of programs. Just a fabulous park.
