Ocean Beach Park still exists and is operating. As to it's history as like most these places nobody seems to know. I believe the City of New London, Connecticut bought Ocean Beach in 1893. OK -- The area was known as Osprey Beach from 1881 till 1885 -- Later it became Ocean Beach and remains as such till this day....

Ocean Beach Park Carousel, New London, Ct.---not much known yet...I ran across a photo with notation :: Fancy Carmel jumpers on a two abreast Mangels carousel, circa 1905. The photo was taken in 1920 at Ocean Beach,New London,Ct......

Also Norton Auctions of Michigan auctioned in last decade or so :::::: Quassy Park Carousel, Middlebury, CT (1902 E. Joy Morris)

I am not sure WHAT Carousel was auctioned from Quassy Park but from Quassy Park :::::

The ride was acquired by Quassy in 1989 when equipment at Ocean Beach Park in New London, Conn., was auctioned. It operated at Ocean Beach Park from 1980 to 1989, according to Eddie Nabhan, a former Ocean Beach Park manager who is now president of Fun Depot in Lake Worth, Fla. Nabhan said the ride operated inside an arcade building near Ocean Beach Park before he purchased it in 1980. There were no previous records about the ride available.
