Gwynn Oak Park was located on Gwynn Oak Avenue at Gwynndale. It was the last of the city's Amusement parks to close, about 1972. There were numerous lawsuits involving segregation and this was only Baltimore area park to de-segregate prior to closing.(one other might have very brief) By 1972 the aging amusements were making it difficult for the park to continue to turn a profit. Flooding in 1972 put the final death notes on the park and in 1974 the amusements went up for auction.
