Holy Land was created by John Greco a local Attorney in 1956. It was a miniature city/village with a religious theme. It covered 17 acres atop a hill in Waterbury, Connecticut. Over the years millions visited. In the 1980's Holy Land began to decline. I think it's still there today but virtually abandoned. It was definite a 'theme park' despite it's theme.
