According to reports Nature's Best Dairy (Rhode Islands largest processor of fresh milk, dairy products, and juices) conducted more than 50,000 tours at Dairy World from 1997-2000, located in its Cranston, Rhode Island facility at 2032 Plainfield Pike. Rhode Island's largest processor of fresh milk and juices.

Dairy World operated a little carousel, purchased by Nature's Best president Allen Cicchitelli at the Rocky Point Park auction in 1996. Built around 1945, the ride was designed by Allan Herschell, and included 30 painted aluminum horses and two chariots.

In 2000, Nature's Best Dairy was bought by Suiza Foods Corporation, a Dallas, Texas based Food Corporation. The same company acquired Garelick Farms in 1997, West Lynn Creamery and Cumberland Farms' Dairy's in 1998, and Stop & Shop's Dairy in 2000.

Suiza Foods was purchased by Dean Foods.

Dairy World closed in 2000 and all inventory was auctioned off----even the 'talking cows'. It appears the Carousel continued to operate perhaps into 2002.

The Ice Cream Barn in the former Dairy World parking lot continued to mid-2001, and the old Rocky Point kiddie carousel also continued to operate. But as of the beginning of 2002, the ice cream business moved to Olde Country Ice Cream at 95 Greenville Avenue in Johnston. The carousel vanished and its current location are unknown.
