A Carousel was moved from Rocky Point Park and a building to place the Carousel was constructed here in 1931. At this time fate unknown but believe Carousel scrapped 1970's?

There used to be a magnificent carousel in the carousel building when I was a kid but it was sold for some reason, dismantled and split up in different locations. The carousel building, which in and of itself is beautiful has been fully restored and is now the home of concerts and events throughout the summer.

Goddard Park Carousel, Goddard Park, Warwick, RI originally located at Lakeside Park, Syracuse, New York, moved 1908 to Rocky Point Amusement Park, Rhode Island and 1930 to present location. This carousel was broken up in the early 1970's. It was my favorite from childhood and as a kid I was devistated to see it gone. The round building it was housed in still stands all restored. Is a carousel in there? No...but you can have your wedding, concert or other event in the Goddard Carousel Building.
