Nothing more is known about this park at this time except it was submitted and I thought it should be listed. This picture is from the early 1940's....

Koloa is located on the sunny southern coast of Kauai between Lawai and Poipu. To reach Koloa, take Highway 520 on Kaoa's east side and drive through the Tree Tunnel, where swamp mahogany and eucalyptus trees have grown to form a tunnel over the road. A drive through the tunnel will bring you to Old Town Koloa's gift shops, restaurants and art galleries. Over twenty shops have been opened in beautifully restored buildings. Koloa was established in 1835 and was Hawaii's first productive sugar plantation town. It quickly became the commercial hub for the island and many of the buildings date back to that time. Other nearby points of interest includes Nahumaalo Point, Waita Reservoir, and the Atlantis Gallery of Kauai. Koloa is also the birthplace of Jonah Kuhio Kalanianaole in 1871. There is a small two and a half-acre park marking his birthplace just a couple of miles south of town. Prince Kalanianaole is remembered for his work to benefit the Hawaiian people, and he was a Republican delegate to Congress from 1902 - 1922. For outdoor recreation, Koloa is near Poipu Beach Park, at the southern most tip of Kauai. You will find all types of activities here, and the beaches in this area are favorites for snorkeling and scuba diving.
