I've done a few ghost hunts.. heres a quick recap of our big one last summer. Place we went to -- Belchertown - Belchertown State School - Doors unlocked and propped open slam shut and lock. Running footsteps, screams and cries can be heard throughout the building. Temperatures fluctuate between extremes in a matter of minutes. There is also a part of the property near the woods that surrounds the school where nothing grows. Belchertown - Tadgell Primary school (made on state school grounds) - Mirrors vibrate and fall off walls. Blood trails found in cellar bathrooms. Odd feelings come over you when you set foot in there. Feelings of being watched in class. Things like pencils move around. Stall doors slam shut and lock in all bathrooms. Pictures and other things fall off walls. Papers hung are found on the floors, looking like they had been ripped off the wall. Woods on the edge of school grounds are haunted by the ghost of a man. Thats the description a friend of mine found online. 5 of us went in there last summer, my friend has a lot of money so he rented two digi cameras with really good NV. So beforehand we joked around and played w/ the cameras a bit and took some footage of us. Then we decided to go walk around the grounds. Spookiest crap ever, we got this WEIRD Flower smell when all the grounds were dirt and brick buildings. It was a little unnerving, but we still went around. We turned the cameras on just incase we might be able to catch anything, friend of mine turned on the NV. So we walked around this place and just listened but didn't find much of anything. Though it always felt like something was around us. That night we get back to a friend of mines house, we plug the tapes into the VCR and watch. We watch a few minutes of our goofing around then fastforward to our video at the state school. Theres NOTHING on the camera. You can hear lots of our talking but none of the video. There was NO batter failure and NO lens cap came w/ the camera. We had lighting out the ass. We're all not sure what happened, cause we know the camera worked fine. But it was just a creepy end to a place I'll never go back.

This is an ACTUAL school, still open and running, only for another year though. For first and second grade.

Disposition of Belchertown Carousel

We sold the Belchertown carousel as a complete carousel in 1993 - to an investor from Washington state. It was later split up and sold piece meal at an auction in San Francisco. That carousel was property of a handicapped children of Massachusetts group and was sold to put the money to use for them.
