For many years from the 1950s, the call letters WVIP were used for an AM station (1310) and FM station (106.3) in the northern Westchester County village of Mt. Kisco. In 2006, William O'Shaughnessy's Whitney Radio Group renamed its WRTN/93.5 WVIP. In July 2010, WVIP moved its transmitter to the top of the Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx, giving it a much stronger signal in New York City, northern New Jersey, southern Connecticut, Long Island and Rockland County.
